We are all washing our hands much more frequently these days. And while i was applying lotion to my hands often, i felt they were becoming too dry, even with the application of my balm. The balm simply did not have time to do its work between the frequent washing. Paraffin wax works if it is available to you, but for me hand mask is the way to go.
On the plus side, you can easily prepare a mask with the ingredients in your pantry.
Potato mask 1 boiled mashed potato 1 tablespoon of milk 1 tablespoon of olive oil Moisturizing Avocado Mask ½ mashed avocado 1 egg white 2 tablespoons of honey 1 tablespoon of olive oil Exfoliating Hand Treatment 1/4 cup oatmeal 1/4 cup coarse sea salt or sugar 1/4 cup softened coconut oil 4 tablespoons yogurt or milk Blend all ingredients together. Apply to hands by gently massaging it in in a circular motion for the best results. Wait 15 to 20 min. Rinse with warm water and apply hand your favorite cream.
If you do the treatment at night just before going to bed, apply a balm like our sheacoco balm on your damp skin for a nourishing layer on your skin while you sleep.
